4. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information in the following situations:
4.1 Service Providers (Subprocessors)
We share specific information with the following third-party vendors who process data on our behalf. Each is bound by a data processing agreement and is identified here so you know exactly where your data goes:
- Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) — Stores your account, customer, invoice, and photo data in the United States.
- Anthropic (AI invoice generation) — Receives the text descriptions and photos you submit to the AI features for the limited purpose of generating invoice drafts. Per Anthropic's commercial terms, your inputs and outputs are not used to train their models.
- Stripe (payments) — Processes subscription payments to REVNU and the Stripe Payment Links sent to your customers. REVNU never sees or stores customer card numbers.
- Twilio (SMS) — Delivers text messages, including invoice notifications and reminders, to your customers' phones.
- Resend (email) — Delivers transactional email, including invoice emails and team invites, to recipients.
- Lob (certified mail) — Prints and mails Notices of Intent to Lien on your behalf, when you initiate them.
- Vercel (hosting) — Hosts the REVNU application servers and CDN.
- PostHog (product analytics) — Records anonymized usage patterns to help us improve the Service. Does not receive customer data.
We will update this list at this page if subprocessors change. Material changes will be announced in advance via email.
4.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to:
- Valid legal processes (subpoenas, court orders, search warrants)
- Government or regulatory investigations
- Requests from law enforcement
- Protection of our legal rights or those of others
4.3 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
4.4 With Your Consent
We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.
4.5 AI Processing of Your Inputs
REVNU uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate and refine invoice drafts from the text descriptions and photos you submit. When you use the AI features:
- The text you type or speak into the description box is sent to Anthropic for processing.
- Photos you upload to the AI generator are sent to Anthropic as base64-encoded images.
- Your existing draft is sent to Anthropic when you use the "Refine" feature so the model can apply your edit.
- Anthropic returns a structured draft (line items, totals, notes) which REVNU stores in your account.
- Under Anthropic's commercial terms of service, your inputs and outputs are NOT used to train Anthropic's models.
- You can use REVNU entirely without the AI features — manual invoice creation is fully supported.
- We may disable AI access for your account if abuse, excessive automated use, or content policy violations are detected. See Section 16.
